Push to Walk has been formed as a New Jersey Non-Profit Corporation by John and Cynthia Templeton, whose son Darren sustained a C5 SCI in July 2004 after diving into shallow water. 

Project Walk® is internationally recognized as a pioneer in exercise-based recovery for people with spinal cord injuries; providing hope, improved quality of life and a chance for life beyond a wheelchair. 

As many of you know April of 2004 my life and those of my family and friends were changed forever. Two ambulance rides, 12 hours of surgery, four days in the neuro ICU followed by two months on the rehab for University of Michigan hospital were just beginning…

Passion for Life has given me more stamina and energy to recover from this injury. My recovery requires me to work out two hours a day five/six times a week and I couldn’t imagine being able to handle the pace without Passion for Life.
