Rob, you are AMAZING!!!!!!!! Connor sat on his own for the first time last week, too.  You beat him to walking but he’s still trying to catch up!

Rob and Mandy -

What a great video!!! We just showed it to Grabbie and Pop-Pop (on their dial-up connection!) and they’re also thrilled with your progress. Grabbie says to keep up the good work and that she admires your patience - both of you. Pop-pop says “God bless.”

This has been a great week - Connor sat for over a minute without any support on Sunday!

Love, Aunt Kate and Uncle Joe

Hey Rob!
Thanks for the great idea you came to me with on Monday.  Here’s what I drafted as a small handout that you could carry with you on your training walks.  Let me know what you think - I would love feedback.  Once we are happy with it, I’ll print some out for you and other clients.

Thanks!

I’m Training for Project Walk’s Steps to Recovery Event

It’s a unique event designed to raise funds and awareness to help people like me with spinal cord injuries.  This year’s event, 2007 Steps to Recovery, will be held at the Project Walk Center in Carlsbad on October 13, 2007.  The event will feature clients, like me, who will be taking steps after being told they would never walk again.  Some will be taking steps for the first time in years; others will be increasing the distance covered by the steps they took in previous Steps to Recovery events.  Net proceeds from the event will benefit Project Walk and its efforts to provide an improved quality of life for people with spinal cord injuries through intense exercise-based recovery programs, education, support and encouragement.
The event will also include a silent auction, food and entertainment to enjoy!  To get involved please contact Marianna Ochoa at or 760.431.3486.

Wow… Just watched the vidio on Ester’s computer and all I can say is wow! I feel exhausted, that was some distance you walked Rob. So proud of your sheer determination… I don’t know what else to say there are no words to describe the emotion the vidio invoked. Keep going Rob we know it’s hard but it’s paying off, we are all seeing the results.
Thinking of you both..
Love Joan
ps The taping and editing wasn’t to shabby either.. well done

ROB!
I was literally cheering you on watching that video.  It was better than the red sox in the world series!!  (sorry, you’re probably a yankees fan but knowing i’m from boston you will appreciate the gravity of the comment.)

That was AMAZING.  Keep going!!!!!!!!

I send you guys so much love and support.  Can’t wait to see you sometime soon and watch this stuff in person!!  GO ROBBIE!
