omg!  That video was amazing.  I cried all the way through.  (Arlen spilled the beans.) So I knew what was coming and I bawled anyway.  I am SO happy for you two.  You will be amazing parents.  What a lucky kid!

Dear Rob-

Thought of you today as I had a spinal tap and ‘bone marrow aspiration’ for future stem cell procedures-there are some encouraging things going on in medicine-hope something in store for us soon enough to enjoy more of life!

Best to you and Mandy this summer…

Elizabeth

Robbie and Mandy,

Wow! What an inspiration. I have been reading your story the past couple of days and find it and the two of you very remarkable. I got started reading and like a good book could not put it down until I was up to date. (I did not want to skip to the end, I read each days updates from the beginning)

I live in Camden Arkansas (southern part of the state)I found this site by exploring the internet to look for info on the "supporting walls" for a house.

I wish you both continued success in all you do, especially to Rob in your continued rehabilitation.

Thanks for an inspiring outlook,

Pennie Garner

Dear Rob-always in our thoughts- Elizabeth has had a montyh of many decisions and is making final decison on May 6th for "Bone Marrow Aspiration" (her own stem cells) -taken from collar bone-to ‘reset’ her body’s system...she is very brave and hoping for the best-we hope her story will encourage you also! she is going for a web-site (Caringbridge) under name elizabethrather( no space) and we will send you info as soon as it is up and running..

all still pretty dreary in Riverhead-but some daffodills are up and forsythia-signe of Spring-regeneration- and life! love to you and your sweetheart!

Hi Rob

I was looking around on facebook for Spinal Cord support groups and came across your story. My brother in law who is my husbands twin- has a very similiar story to yours where he broke c6 & c7 in July 2005 while hitting his head in the sand. He too has done Project Walk in MA and Shake a Leg in Newport RI and is now going to college this summer! He would love to go to Life Rolls on! Anyways, your story amazes me and please stay strong! If you want to check out my brother in laws website it is www.derekobrien.org and he also has a link to his blog from his time in China for stem cell research. Take Care,

McKenzie O’Brien

Hi Rob,  Seeing pictures of you in your van reminded me of a friend of mine who had a very similar accident to yours (he dove off a bridge in Southold).  He had a car equipped with hand controls, too.  Danny, however, was a lunatic driver and riding with him was taking your life in your hands.  I hope you are safer.  I’ve been following your progress and am continually amazed by you and Mandy and all you’ve accomplished.  Never would have thought the boy in the tie in high school would mature into such a nice man.  Continued best wishes to you and Mandy, Kathy Hamilton
