Wednesday, August 31, 2005 - Just a quick

Just a quick update before I head home for the night. Two good therapy sessions today. The exercise for typing skills was very hard but they said Rob did well. He commented that perhaps he would take this opportunity to learn how to type without looking at the keyboard and using more than two fingers. He has wrist braces now that enable him to release the brake and move forward in his wheelchair. Tonight he enjoyed a fabulous dinner of chicken cordon bleu courtesy of Diane Grimm. Keep your good thoughts and prayers coming. We all need them.

Tuesday, August 30, 2005 - Well..

Well - much to report tonight. First Rob has been moved to a new room, room 119, just down the hall. But the folks in this room are much more mobile, no ventilators etc. He spent a good deal of time in his wheelchair, going downstairs to check messages on the computer and even went outside for a short while. He did not nap during the day hoping that between staying awake and his two therapy sessions he might get a good nights sleep. Mandy did all the hard work today. I got to watch TV with him and feed him snacks. He got hands splints which will help him to control his wrist movements. His OT said they would work on typing movements real soon. Still having blood pressure issues when he sits up too long but that is to be expected. All in all a good day.
