Rob returned home (after 5 months of being away) on Friday, January 20, 2005. We are doing well though we are still trying to adjust to the new sleep pattern as Rob needs to be turned every 3 hours. This week he has in home physical therapy and his first session was today. He worked on standing with a walker which was exhausting. He said he took a 3 hour nap after the session. Next Monday, Rob will return to Kessler for outpatient 5x per week. This will present an interesting challenge with transportation. While Rob is able to get into the vehicle, the ramp that is used to put the wheelchair in the back of the escape weighs 40 pounds and is a bit awkward. Either I’ll be the strongest woman in Sparta or I"ll have a serious back problem in a few months. I am personally hoping for the former. So...that’s about it. The animals are especially enjoying Rob being home. In fact, Ms. Marley hasn’t snuggled with me since Friday. I guess I can let that slide for the time being…
