Sunday, May 21, 2006 - Mandy’s Birthday

To my dearest wife and the love of my life,

Mandy, you are my soul and inspiration. For the last 232 days I have leaned on you both physically and mentally, and you have never faltered. Without you, this test of my resolve would have been a miserable failure. But as “Mandy and Rob” I feel invincible! You have grown so much, and so fast, and I truly cannot imagine my life without you. Your compassion, patience and love astound me.
I find you to be incredible. The perfect marriage of your intelligence, beauty and sense of humor amazes me.
Your faith humbles me. I have watched you go from a “glass half empty” to a “half full and more on the way, Robbie isn’t life grand?” person, and I love it!
I love you.

So, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday to YOU!
Your love-struck husband,
Robbie

Monday, May 15, 2006 - Benefit Dance a Success

Thank you SOOOO much to our Mountaintop family for hosting “The Robert Wall Benefit Fund” Dance. The dance was an enormous success and enough money was raised to fund the entire two weeks of therapy at Project Walk. We had a FANTASTIC time at the dance and visiting Pennsylvania. We posted a few interesting photos which require a little explanation. We got up on Saturday at 7:00am in order to go to the flower auction in Allentown (p.s. not many things get us up at 7:00am but we LOVE Amish auctions) We let Ms. Marley outside to go potty and she started barking like crazy. We peeked out the window and there was a bear!!!!! Luckily, Marley is trained enough to come when called because the bear would have eaten her alive. (p.s. bears can run much faster then you might think). We posted a photo of the bear and of Rob looking out the window to see the bear. Look closely at the picture of Rob because he is standing with minimal support from Kyle and Tom. He was only able to stand for a few moments b/c of his blood pressure but he was using the strength from his right leg to support himself. Hopefully, this is just the beginning.... He started to notice some increased strength in his right leg Thursday after his first session with his new physical trainer. Thank you again to Aunt Diane, Uncle Eric, Maryanne and Lisa for hosting the event and to everyone else for donating to the cause and for helping with set up and clean up! We are so grateful to all of our supporters smile
