Well we have had quite a week! After two more trips to the vet, it appears that Marley is finally on the mend. She had a horrible week w/painful urination which led to her developing a fear of going outside, walking on grass and of course going potty. She actually went 17 hours without going..poor girl. The vet thinks she has a bladder stone in addition to very severe brusing from having the catheter removed. She started on an additional pain killer yesterday which seems to be helping-now we just have to convince her that going outdoors will not cause her excrutiating pain. Hmmmmmm. We do have some good news to share-we finallly found an apartment! It isn’t perfect (i.e. Rob’s wheelchair doesn’t fit through the bathroom door and we have to furnish it ourselves) but it does have hardwood floors and the owners will allow a dog and short term lease. We hope to move April 1st. We are also excited to report that Mandy got a job offer-it’s part time-28 hrs/week working at an apartment leasing office. The pay isn’t great but at least it’s something. Rob is doing well...working on his endurance with the arm crutches. Alright...we have to run..we are off to a going away party for a PW client.

We were able to pick Marley up yesterday around 3pm after she passed another set of blood tests. She was discharged with a UTI (true to her family roots) so she’ll have to take antibiotics for 10 days. She crys a bit when she pees and cleans herself but other than that she is doing great. The problem is keeping this little one from being too active. We normally go to the lagoon every day where she swims and chases squirrels and she is just laying at the front door begging me to take her. We are on a pretty good routine w/walking times and it’s tough not being able to stick to it. Only for a few more days… It occurred to me that I haven’t mentioned Rob in the last few posts… He started off the beginning of the week strong being able walk around the entire gym w/arm crutches tbut developed a UTI which caused him to feel weak and fatigued Thursday and Friday. He has spent a lot of time resting this weekend so hopefully Monday he’ll be able to give is 100%. . Diane will be visiting with us this week so we’ll be doing some sight seeing. Take care everyone!
