Tuesday, February 13, 2007 - Welcome to Support the Wall!
We are glad you are here. If you would like to receive notification (as you did with carepages) that a new blog has been posted about Rob’s progress, you’ll need to register as a member. Please also remember to check out Rob’s latest video which is definitely a tear jerker. As for the big news...Rob started using the arm crutches last week and today he was able to walk the length of the gym without the strap-he just had a trainer spotting him from behind. He also broke a new record on the treadmill today-he walked 1/4 mile in 30 minutes. At this point, we are planning on staying in California until next Fall though it all depends on how Rob does over the summer. We do hope to be home by Run for Robbie 2007. Still no offers on the house-maybe if it would stop snowing we would have a better time of it. I am still looking for a job though I did have an interview last week which went really well. We’ll see. So we are doing okay- keeping busy with the never ending apartment and job hunts and of course working on the website. Marley is as cute as ever though still very bold when it comes to pulling on the leash. We contacted a dog trainer who trains shelter dogs to be companion dogs so we hope to have a consultation in the new few weeks. I guess that’s about it. Happy Valentines Day to all you lovers out there

Tuesday, February 13, 2007 - Run for Robbie 2007 Update
We are ideally looking for a Saturday race so that we can have an after party with a silent auction. The only two races I have found in October are:
-October 13, 2007 Baltimore, MD team marathon (4 persons per team each runs b/w 5.9 to 7.1 miles OR 5k
-October 20, 2007, 5 k West Potomac Park, Washington
Pls let me know if anyone finds anything else closer to the Leesburg area… The Baltimore race seems like it would be way too chaotic (w/all the different starting points). Ideally a small race would be best.
