Rob is still struggling with some pain issues but is handling them beautifully (it amazing me how well he copes with the pain...I for one would be on a morphine drip 24-7).  For those that aren’t aware, Rob has chronic and severe neuropathic pain in his hands that is very difficult to manage.  The more medication he takes, the more function he loses so it is a double edged sword.  Please continue to pray for Rob’s tolerance in this regard.  We did have to make an emergency trip to the doctor this week due to the surprise arrival of a pressure sore.  Thankfully, it appears to be more of an external abrasion then internal and it seems to be healing up nicely.  We are so thankful Rob has as much movement as he does...as most SCI constantly battle pressure issues.  On the positive side of things, Rob has started doing some walking around our condo.  He actually walked all the way outside to greet me at the driveway (it was kinda funny...the one day he tried this I was 20 minutes late coming home...the poor guy was sweating to death by the time I pulled in the drive).  Speaking of sweat....Rob has been sweating up a storm lately which is great.  We are both bursting with excitement to make the trip to Virginia next month.  We can’t wait to see all of your faces when you see Rob’s progress.  Some updates regarding the events...... 

Run for Robbie
We are in the final countdown for the 2nd Annual Run for Robbie.  The t-shirts have arrived and they are anxiously awaiting for runners to break them in.  Remember, we are offering free t-shirts to the first 100 registrants and there will only be 30 shirts available for sale the day of the race so REGISTER today to secure your t-shirt. 

Benefit Dinner
With the help of lots of volunteers, we have an AMAZING lineup for the silent auction.  We are printing the programs next week so if you have not already notified us of your contribution please do so by Monday at the latest.  We have plenty of items so unless you have something already, don’t worry about seeking additional items.  Here is a preview of some of the items we will be auctioning.  Share the lineup w/your family/friends/coworkers...maybe you can bid on their behalf?:
