Welcome to the Updates Page

Thanks for checking in, so here’s the latest chapter....

Friday, August 26, 2005 - Just a quick update for now..

Just a quick update for now… Rob has been moved to the fourth floor - Room 4101. The visiting hours are much more liberal - still 11am to 8:30pm but the number and nature of visitors throughout the day is not as restricted. BUT… looks like we’ll be moving north to the Kessler Institute sometime today. We’ll be sure to let everyone know.
His nurse says Rob is in a lot of pain today. His blood pressure is better, but the pain is making everything a little harder. We’ll get to see him soon and will let you know how he’s doing and the specifics about the move.

Thursday, August 25, 2005 - First of all..

First of all thank you all for all of the messages! I read a bunch to Rob this morning and there are already three more pages worth to share.

The first part of the day was full of physical and occupational therapy - really hard work. So Rob’s sleeping, enjoying some pain medicine, right now. We’re still waiting on a bed outside of the SCCC here in Delaware, and they’re trying to manage a problem with low blood pressure and finalize paperwork to get him moved to New Jersey very soon.

Rob’s strength is getting better every day. We found some super special weight gaining powder at GNC today that we’ll try later. Thanks for all of your suggestions. Rob’s movement is still about the same, but he’s working hard. Once he gets moved to Rehab he’ll have lots of tools and toys and special help to speed the process along even more.

More later…
